Flapse Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Flapse app for Android, developed by Azbi Usta ("we"). Questions: hello@azbiusta.com.
Flapse does not collect, transmit or share any personal data. The app has no internet permission. Your photos, measurements and settings stay on your device, in places you choose.
01What the app uses on your device
- Photos in folders you choose. Flapse reads the photos in a folder you select with Android's folder picker, and only that folder. It writes a project file (
flapse-project.json) next to the photos to remember dates, alignment and your choices. Photos you add from the gallery or another folder are copied into the project folder; the originals are not changed. - Camera. Used only when you take a photo in the app. The photo is saved to the project folder.
- Face detection. To align faces, Flapse uses Google ML Kit's face detection model, which is bundled with the app and runs entirely on your device. It finds where a face is in a photo. It does not recognise or identify people, and no image or result leaves your device.
- Heights and dates you enter are stored in the project file on your device.
- Notifications. Used to show progress of long tasks (such as making a video or a backup) and the reminders you set.
- Videos and backups are saved where you choose or, for videos, to the Movies/Flapse folder on your device.
02What we collect
Nothing. Flapse has no accounts, servers, ads, analytics, crash reporting or tracking. Because the app has no internet permission, it cannot send data anywhere. App settings are excluded from Android's cloud backup.
03Sharing
We do not share data, because we do not receive any. If you share a video or a backup file yourself, for example through another app, that app's own policy applies.
04Google Play
Flapse is distributed through Google Play. Google may collect information about installs and your Google account as described in Google's Privacy Policy. If paid features are added in the future, purchases will be handled by Google Play; we will never see your payment details, and this policy will be updated before then.
05Children
Flapse is not directed at children under 13. Photos of children taken or imported with Flapse stay on the device, like all other photos.
06Deleting your data
All data is on your device. Uninstalling Flapse removes its settings and project list. Your photo folders, project files, videos and backups stay until you delete them yourself, so that uninstalling never costs you photos.
07Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
